Small batch hot sauce made in ND.
How did it start? Just a guy with a desire for spicy stuff mixing some habanero & Thai peppers in with some pineapple and few other things laying around. That first batch turned out pretty tasty and eventually came to be called Pineapplebanero.
Wanting to try my hand at other flavor combinations and heat levels I continued to experiment. Not all were successful. Some were flat out gross. Keeping notes, tweaking here and there until it seemed right to me. I’d share ‘em around and found myself keeping busy with it. Lots of late nights and several flavors later, I thought I’d try and get a little more “official” and venture outside of just the local markets. Here we are looking to share these flavors with you. Feel the Taste! of Whales Pepper Sauce and enjoy the varying flavors and heat combinations while supporting a small business.
Flavor profiles
Autumn Heat
It’s a spicy pumpkin pie taste with mild heat and great flavor. This is an awesome addition to ice cream, cheesecake and of course pumpkin pie!
Pineapplebanero
Pineapplebanero. The one that started it all and still my favorite. Pineapples, habaneros, jalapeños, honey, & garlic mixed together for this awesome sauce. Of course it’s great on pizza but if you’re one of the “pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza” type of folk then pour it over wings, eggs, or even a big bowl of vanilla ice cream.
Life is Peachy
A mix of northwestern peaches, a pile of ghost pepper & maple syrup. A hit of sweet peach flavor up front then a slow burn from the ghost pepper.
Spicy Canadian
A very mild blend of peppers and maple syrup for a unique and tasty pepper sauce. Great breakfast sauce. Try it on pancakes, waffles eggs, casseroles and whatever else suits your mood.
Betta Fish
Betta Fish is a very hot blend of Carolina Reapers, pears, goji berries and ginger. Great sauce for wraps, wings, burgers and everything else you want an added kick to!
Bearded Whale
We like this sauce best on lasagna & spaghetti but it goes great with Mexican food too! Tomatoes, carrots, bell peppers, ghost pepper and cilantro make for an excellent everyday sauce with some heat.
Just Jalapeño
A simple but delicious mix of jalapeños, onions, garlic, and seasoned salt. Goes great on burritos, tacos, beans, rice, and nachos.
The Middle Child
The Middle Child. Named after, you guessed it, my middle child. Fiery red habaneros, carrots, oranges, garlic, and bell peppers mixed together making this sauce explode with flavor. This makes for a great everyday table sauce that you can enjoy with just about anything.
